What to expect

What to expect

Believe it or not, most personal issues you face can be improved by changing the way you go about your daily living. What do you have to lose? Excess weight, acne, hair and nail growth stunts, lack of energy, depression, etc can all dramatically improve without expensive help or treatments. Your health is the most important thing in your life so it's beneficial to take the time to learn the basics in order to take better care of yourself.

When they say abs are made in the kitchen, they’re not lying. There’s a quote I read in The 4 Hour Body that blew my mind; “There are 47,000 products in the average U.S. grocery store, but only a handful of them won't make you fat.” - Tim Ferriss

As an indecisive person, giant grocery stores overwhelm me. I don’t need 500 options of tooth paste! Shouldn’t they all do the same thing; whiten teeth and freshen breath?! Thank god for Trader Joes and New York's small neighborhood grocery stores. The less options available means the less money consumers spend, less goods are wasted, and the less anxiety I'll have. With so many products on the market and differing opinions about what to purchase, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and confused. Throughout the course of this blog, I’d like to teach my readers not only how to go about improving yourself but the reasonings behind it. Self improvement is not an overnight fix but a continuous, lifelong journey.

One book I’d recommend to cover some of the nutrition basics is Should I Scoop Out My Bagel? by Ilyse Schapiro and Hallie Rich. It’s a quick read that answers 100 everyday nutrition questions. Clink the link to purchase or check out my article on money-saving tips to see how you might be able to get a copy of the book for little or no cost.
