ACV Lemonade
There's something refreshing about drinking lemonade on a hot summer day. The problem is, this tends to leave us more thirsty than we were in the first place.
The last few weeks have been hot and muggy so I've made sure to stay hydrated with plenty of water. Sometimes it's nice to switch it up though - that's where this Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Lemonade comes in.
ACV Lemonade
Glass of water, 1 TBSP ACV, 1/2 squeezed lemon, 1 cup frozen strawberries, drizzle of honey. Blend
I don't buy many pre-made products (drinks, salad dressing, etc) and I suggest you don't either. Processed food and drinks are typically loaded with unnecessary ingredients such as sugar and/or artificial sweeteners (sometimes both!). Either way, Americans tend to consume more than we should be and more than we realize.
What's In Your Processed Drink?
Original - sugar
Zero Calorie - artificial sweeteners
Lower-Sugar - half sugar/half artificial sweeteners
Why Apple Cider Vinegar?
The vinegar is made from fermented apples, producing a probiotic and numerous other benefits in the process.

In combination with a healthy, balanced diet you can expect to experience many of these benefits. But don't be disappointed with the lack of results if the rest of your diet isn't in order.

Water
1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
1/2 lemon, juiced
Optional Add-Ins
Frozen fruit
Frozen vegetables
Honey
Herbs
Blend ingredients until smooth. Enjoy!
The drink pictured was made by blending a glass of water, 1 TBSP ACV, 1/2 squeezed lemon, 1 cup frozen strawberries and a drizzle of honey. The glass I'm drinking now is made the same but with basil instead of honey.
The best part - NO added sugar and NO artificial sweeteners! The sweetness is natural, coming from the fruit and honey.
